Título: Lagartija colirroja - Acanthodactylus erythrurus
Publicado por: golondrinas en Marzo 11, 2009, 21:49:51 pm
Hi,
We were pleased to see several of these lizards today near Instinción. They are quite different from the green-tailed lizards (lagarto ibérica) in our garden. Is it a lagartija colirroja? Are they common?
From the car, we also saw a much larger lizard....Timon lepidus?.. on the road, but it ran off when we stopped.
   Cheers, P&G

Yes, this is an Acanthodactylus erythrurus juvenile.

Timon lepidus (before named Lacerta lepida) is the only big lizard here at Almería.

With your permission pass the info to the ATLAS OF ANDALUSIAN REPTILES.
